Dear Parish Community,

The staff and teachers of Shnorhali Armenian School are delighted to welcome you to the 2023-2024 academic year. Registration is now open. We are only weeks away from the first day of school and looking forward to seeing our school once again be filled with positivity and learning and fueled by kids’ laughter and joy!

The new academic year starts on August 27th with the Celebration of Knowledge and Education. Following our tradition, the school’s staff and teachers will evaluate the students’ knowledge of the Armenian language, history, and culture on the first day of school, while students spend a fun day getting to know each other. Students and parents will participate in the Patarak (Badarag) to receive a special blessing during the service. The day will conclude with a meeting with parents.

To register your child, please fill out the registration form under the Registration section.

1st Day Schedule

• 9:30 am – 11:45 am  Celebration of Knowledge and Education. Registration, Students’ tests, Meeting with teachers

• 11:45 am – 12:30 pm  Attending Patarak (Badarag) Service

• 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm Parents Meeting

Bell Schedule for the rest of the year

• 9:30 am – 10:00 am Patarak (Badarag) education at the sanctuary

• 10:00 am – 11:00 am Armenian Language Education

• 11:00 am – 12:00 pm Religion Class

• 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm Lunch

• 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm Armenian Language including 30-minute History & Culture Class

•   2:00 pm – 3:30 pm After-School Clubs

Shnorhali School now offers a Conversational Armenian class to students who are looking to develop and practice verbal communication skills with native Armenian speakers. This class is for students who are interested to develop only verbal communication and conversational skills. During this class, through discussions, informal chats, formal conversations, and presentations, students will gain skills in communicating and interacting in Armenian.

Shnorhali School also offers 30-minute History and Music classes, and after-school clubs.

School staff, teachers, and parents are partners in the education of our children, and as partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success. We are grateful for your continued support of Shnorhali School, for preserving the language, culture, and Armenian Christian identity of our children.  Let’s make this year the most successful one!
